Improper installation may reduce hose service life and cause safety hazards in severe situations, therefore, the following requirements should be observed:
I. Before assembly and connection, inspection should be made to hoses and connectors according to related standards, and installation must be done in accordance with instructions provided in related user manual.
II. To unpack the hoses by using a knife, care should be taken to avoid damages to hoses by sharp objects.
III. Rubber hose length reduces after pressurized hydraulic oil is supplied. Generally, the length reduction is about 3%~4% of hose length, therefore allowance should be provided in cutting process.
IV.During rubber hose cutting process, care should be taken to avoid body injury by steel wires at the hose end. In special conditions, operators should wear protection suits, glasses, gloves and rubber shoes, to protect safety of operator.
V.Proper connectorcrimpingis a critical factor for safety and normal operation of high/low pressure hose assemblies.
1.Crimping tightness and crimping speed should be determined on basis of inner and outer diameters of rubber hoses, and improper crimping operation may lead to layer detachment and fracture of hoses.
2.Do not apply oil or heat threaded connectors by fire, but use warn water to heat the hose before assembly.
3. Rubber hoses of appropriate diameter should be used. Please cut the hose neatly and insert the rubber hose completely and do not use any connector that has burrs, sharp edges, dents or rust.
4.Please use clamps of suitable size. Do not use iron wires in place of hose clamps and do not strike the clamp by hammers or hard objects of similar nature.
VI. Rubber hose should be arranged to keep it away from heat source or exhaust pipes of engines.Where necessary, sleeves or protective screens should be used to protect hoses from heat and deterioration.
VII.No tension is allowed on the devices.Even if there is no relative movement between both ends of the hose, it should also be kept in relaxed conditions. Tense rubber hoses expand under pressure, thus reducing their strength.
VIII.Do not twist the rubber hose in installation, which may reduce hose strength and lead to loose connection and uncoupling of connectors.
IX. To protect rubber hose from damages or limitation on flow rate, the bending radius should be as large as possible. Excess bending should be avoided near the connectors, otherwise, it may hinder hydraulic pressure transfer and damage to materials delivered or the hose assembly.
X. Rubber hose must be securely, reliably and stably fitted.
1.Sufficientclearance should be provided between equipment if hoses are to be used between them, to avoid friction with other objects during operation.
2.Clearance of 12mm or larger must be provided between parallel or crossing pipes, to avoid intervention andvibration. If hose crossing or contact with mechanical surface during operation is inevitable, clamps and spring sleeves should be used.
3. Wood blocks or rubber cushions should be used as damper and vibration absorber if there is likely vibration.
